Description
The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 22nd Annual Top O’ The Bay Oktoberfest from Friday October 20 through Sunday October 22 at the Tampa Bay Downs, 11225 Racetrack Road, Tampa.
The Top O’ The Bay Oktoberfest is the largest and most authentic celebration of this century plus old German tradition in Tampa Bay. This family event features an expansive Munich style tent, live German music, dance troupes, great German food, plenty of big tent Munich beers and dozens of food and arts and crafts vendors. We are pleased to announce that the Arnold Family Carnival will again be with us so there will plenty of great rides for kids of all ages. Plus, we’ll have some great audience participation events including stein holding, log sawing, barrel rolling and keg tossing. This year we will introduce Weiner Dog Derby (Click here to register) and a Volkswagen Car Show on Sunday afternoon.
Oktoberfest 2017 runs from 5 to 11 pm Friday; 11 am to 11 pm Saturday and noon to 7 pm Sunday. The ever popular Joe Oberaitis and Oktoberfest Express Band will provide the Polka Music. Joe is in the International Polka Association Hall of Fame and has appeared on radio and TV including the “Today Show” and “Good Morning America”. We can guarantee you a toe tapping, foot stomping great time.
The event is open to the public. Vendor inquiries are welcome. There are acres of free parking. Cost is $5 for adults. Children under 12 and anyone with a US Armed Forces ID card (active, reserve, retired or dependent) are admitted free. Carnival wristbands are $20 per session Friday and Sunday. Saturday you can ride the full twelve hours for only $25.
