Honor Our Heroes Registration details, volunteer hours, and sponsorship opportunities.

On Saturday, 24 May 2025, and in recognition of Memorial Day, Oldsmar Cares is proud to announce the 10th Anniversary of the Honor Our Heroes 5k Memorial Run. We are excited to continue our collaboration and veteran outreach with VFW Post 12186.

Our two distinguished nonprofit organizations are a 100% all-volunteer force. We are working together for a better community, and all net proceeds from the event will support our efforts to serve residents, families, veterans, and community projects.

These are all designed for everyone, from competitive runners to casual joggers, pet walkers, and even some pushing their strollers. The finish line will greet our finishers with beverages and food for everyone.

• The 5k (3.1 miles). This is certified by USA Track & Field.
  
  
• The 1 Mile.  This Memorial Mile is a beautiful stroll down Park Boulevard with shade trees, water bowls, and great conversations with friends. 
  
  
• The Virtual.  Can't Make It?  It's OK, I can't make every event either, but I still like your enthusiasm. So we've got an option for you to support "From a Distance!"  Participants will receive an official race shirt, #bib, and challenge coin.  But there's more - if you can't make it to the Race Packet Pick Up, we'll even mail it to you!
