Oldsmar Cares – an all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit helping the greater Oldsmar area since 1997

Oldsmar Cares provides stopgap rent and utility assistance, a food pantry, and a clothing closet – at no cost – to those in need in the greater Oldsmar area. We also have shower and laundry facilities for the homeless, provide “Weekend Food for Kids” in need at Oldsmar Elementary and Forest Lakes Elementary Schools, holiday meal programs, and a Kids Christmas Toy Distribution program.

Everything we do is possible because of our dedicated volunteers, and the generous businesses, organizations, and individuals in our community. Donations of nonperishable food and personal hygiene items can be dropped off at Oldsmar City Hall, Oldsmar Public Library, Oldsmar Fire Station, Cypress Forest Recreation Center, Community UM Church of Oldsmar, and at Oldsmar Cares during normal business hours. New and gently used clothing and shoes can be dropped off directly at Oldsmar Cares.

Every year, we hold three fundraising events – an annual Gala, Memorial Run 5k, and a Rod Run car show. We encourage the community to join us as event sponsors, by donating items for our auctions and raffles, attending our events, and volunteering at the events.
