Oldsmar Organic Community Garden
About
Situated within Bicentennial Park, the Oldsmar Organic Community Garden has evolved into a thriving oasis for local residents that stands as a testament to community spirit and sustainability. Established in 2012, the garden has developed into a dynamic center where gardening enthusiasts, families, and individuals of all ages convene to cultivate both plants and relationships.
The OOCG attained 501©3 nonprofit status in 2014. It offers a program where residents can rent plots to grow organic produce. This initiative supports healthy eating, self-sufficiency, and connections to nature.
The OOCG offers educational activities year-round, including workshops on sustainable gardening, seasonal planting events, and family garden tours. These programs inspire eco-conscious living and engage the community.
The OOCG commitment to education and community engagement ensures it remains a cornerstone of Oldsmar’s cultural and environmental landscape. It provides an inclusive space for experienced gardeners and curious novices alike to share knowledge, cultivate friendships and grow together.
